10 Things I Hate About You
I just saw the last half an hour of 10 Things I Hate About You again. God, I love that movie. But this time around, I really felt like I got a preview of Heath Ledger's Oscar Worthy performance in Brokeback Mountain. I mean you know the scene where Julia Stiles reads the poem about all the things she hates about him. He looks so tortured. I could totally see a proto-Ennis Del Mar.

I'm a sucker for overly stylistic, teen-y remakes of shakespeare - romeo and juliet, O, 10 things I hate about you, etc. I fell in love with julia stiles in this movie. But I feel like her character would have written a much better poem than the one she read.

you know, the first time I saw the movie when I was 17, I did not think the poem was all that awful, I mean you know it was not good or anything, but not embarrasingly bad. This time around I sat there cringing as she read the poem (well, cringing and enjoying torturted Heath Ledger)
